Tui Na Massage

Tui Na, also known as Chinese therapeutic massage, is a form of bodywork that originated in ancient China and is based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The term "Tui Na" translates to "push" and "grasp," reflecting the manual techniques used in this practice to manipulate the body's soft tissues, muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

Tui Na massage incorporates a variety of techniques, including pressing, rubbing, kneading, rolling, and stretching, applied to specific acupoints and meridians along the body. These techniques are designed to promote the flow of Qi (vital energy) and blood throughout the body, remove blockages or stagnations, and restore balance to the body's systems.

Tui Na massage is generally performed fully clothed and does not require the use of oils or lotions, making it convenient and accessible for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

The goal of Tui Na massage is to alleviate pain, reduce tension, and promote overall health and well-being.

Tui Na can be used to address a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, including neck and back pain, headaches, arthritis, sciatica, sports injuries, and more. Additionally, Tui Na massage is often sought out for its stress-relieving and relaxation benefits.

During a Tui Na massage session, I will assess the patient's condition and health concerns, then apply specific techniques tailored to address their individual needs. The treatment may involve both gentle, soothing strokes and deeper, more targeted pressure, depending on the patient's preferences and tolerance levels.
